What is the difference between Beach Flag Alu, Beach Flag Fiber and Beach Flag Budget?
The main difference between our Beach Flag Alu, Beach Flag Fiber, and Beach Flag Budget is the pole construction.
The Beach Flag Alu is our best-selling model, featuring a sturdy Ø 28 mm aluminium pole. The Beach Flag Fiber combines an aluminium lower part with a tapered fibreglass top section, providing greater flexibility and making it suitable for a wider range of flag shapes with just one type of hardware product. The Beach Flag Budget offers a more economical option, with a slimmer Ø 17 mm aluminium pole while maintaining the same overall design as the Beach Flag Alu.
Which flag is suitable for permanent outdoor installations?
For permanent outdoor use, we recommend a sturdy and stable solution such as a Flag Pole or the Beach Flag Alu range combined with a heavy base, such as a Steel Plate or Watertank.
To extend the lifespan of the flag, we advise moving it indoors during severe weather conditions, such as strong winds, heavy rain, or storms.
Can outdoor flags withstand strong winds?
Outdoor flags are designed for normal outdoor conditions but are not intended to withstand strong winds. We recommend bringing flags indoors when wind speeds reach Beaufort Force 6 (approximately 39 km/h or higher) to prevent damage.
The wind resistance of a flag depends on its height and the type of base used. For guidance on the most suitable flag and base combination, please check our compatibility overview.
How long do outdoor flags last outdoor?
Our Flag Poles are designed for long-term outdoor use and offer excellent durability. The printed flags are produced using water-based inks that provide vibrant colours for up to 90 days of continuous outdoor exposure.
Over time, prolonged exposure to UV light and weather conditions may cause the print colours to fade. To maximise the lifespan of your flag, we recommend bringing it indoors during severe weather and replacing the printed flag when required to maintain the best visual impact.
Which beach flag base should I choose?
Choosing the right Beach Flag base depends on the flag height, the surface it will be used on, and the expected weather conditions.
For flat surfaces, the Steel Plate is our best-selling option, offering excellent stability thanks to its heavy steel construction. The Cross Base is a lightweight alternative, ideal for indoor use or sheltered outdoor locations. The Water Tank can be filled with water or sand to provide additional weight and stability outdoors.
For soft surfaces such as grass or sand, we recommend the Ground Drill or Ground Pin. If you want to display a Beach Flag using a vehicle, the Car Foot is the ideal solution.
